9. Join a room using standard telephone (PSTN)

In a previous article we showed you how to use the My Meeting Video app on a smartphone. However, it's also possible to join a Meeting Room just using your standard telephone without any additional app. Even better, the Pexip service provides local dial-in numbers from more than 55 countries around the globe, making this very cost-effective alternative when video dial-in is not required or possible.

(Of course, joining via a standard telephone service will only give you the audio, and you are unable to see any other participants or their shared content. Should you wish to add video to your meeting, make sure you use the My Meeting Video app.)

The dial-in number and conference ID required in order to join the Meeting Room via your phone can be found in a few different ways:

1. Use your PC and go to the URL of the Meeting Room

You will now get the local dial-in number of the country you are currently in, together with the conference ID. If you need a different country's number, just select from the drop-down menu.

2. Use your phone's browser and go to the Meeting Room's unique URL link

For when you have received a meeting invitation or an email with the link. In this case, simply click on the link which takes you to the web page of the Meeting Room.

Here, click Join by dial-in:
